Your car’s multimedia unit is expected to do more than just play music; it has to be an all round connectivity hub for your vehicle.
Toyota Link is the latest multimedia system offering connectivity in models of the Toyota lineup. Find out how it works.
With personal technology becoming more and more indispensible, having your car available to connect to your smart devices and make your drive more comfortable.
Toyota Link is the latest system from the Japanese carmaker in its models, and comes with a host of features that are becoming standard across a range of vehicles.
Toyota Link is more than just a multimedia unit, it personalises your in-car experience because it’s tailored to you. When you first buy your Toyota, you can register on the My Toyota owners portal to set up your Toyota Link account – if you’re not sure how it works, you can get your salesperson to take you through the process in the dealership.
Because it is linked to the user’s details, rather than the individual car, if you sell or pass on your car within the new vehicle warranty period – the new driver/owner can register their details to personalise Toyota Link to them.
More than just a radio or media player, Toyota Link offers real time support on the road including navigation (if equipped) that can be pre-set before you even get into the car using the Toyota Link app, roadside assist that can be called from your connected smartphone, Pandora internet radio to stream your best playlist and a Fuel Finder that not only tells you where you can fill up nearby, but the current prices, so you don’t have to drive around close to empty to compare.
While services through Toyota Link are free for the lifetime of your new vehicle warranty (excluding extended warranties), they do expire – but you’ll receive a notice from your dealer, or from Toyota to notify you that your subscription is about to expire. The only cost that you may incur during your subscription to Toyota Link will be $2.97 per call for Destination Assist, where a representative can guide you to a location if you can't read your GPS. Data charges from your mobile carrier may also apply to use some functions.
Toyota Link is across a range of models, although not across all trim levels. Depending on the model, it will come with standard or advanced Toyota Link features.
To test Toyota Link out for yourself, drop by Motorama Toyota at Moorooka or Browns Plains to see all the features in action, and if you ever need any help with any of the features – the expert teams at our dealerships can help you out.
