Motorama driving cancer research fundraising

Motorama is proud to be a presenting partner of the PA Research Foundation’s iconic “Support The Duck Festival, helping the founders of the world’s first cancer vaccine in the continued fight against cancer.

Cancer affects 1 in 2 Australians, so this disease will affect everyone at some point – either directly or through someone we love.

Motorama is dedicated to stopping cancer and to help the cause, one of Queensland’s largest family owned dealerships have donated the first prize for the annual Duck Race – a brand new car valued at $45,000!

Motorama Managing Director Mark Woelders and the entire Motorama Group are committed to ensuring Motorama is in the front seat when it comes to stopping cancer, so they have rallied Motorama’s 500 employees to fundraise at work, home and school – committed to a goal of raising $30,000. 

“We are so proud of what Aussies have done in our local communities and across the globe for cancer research, it is up to people like you and our community groups to make the next cancer breakthrough a reality”

“Many of our staff and their families have been affected by cancer and sadly we have lost some wonderful friends throughout the past decade to this dreadful disease.  The least we can do is help the researchers find cures and treatments to help those who have been diagnosed,” Woelders said.

Since 2011, the Motorama Group have contributed over $200,000 toward cancer research at the PA Research Foundation and are excited to see where the research foundation can make their next breakthrough.

“The PA Research Foundation have helped bring the world the first cancer vaccine and as a community, we want to be a part of helping deliver the next,” Mark Woelders said.

The Support the Duck Festival will be held on Sunday 26th October at Riverside Drive, West End starting at 10am – 3pm.
